All slats, top arch, and side pieces are produced from White Oak, locally harvested. All wood is dried in a sun kiln to ensure moisture is at a minimum to prevent defects such as warping, cupping, and twisting. Each piece is stringently gone through to ensure minimum defects.

All pieces are hand sanded and again checked for major defects. Top arches are hand cut from one piece of oak to insure longevity against cracking or splitting at glued joints. We also try to match grain patterns for a smooth uniform look. All pieces have routed contoured edges; Top arches have a matched couture to the original (¾” round over on top side only).
